  • We are Glad to hear you bought a new organ. Hope it enhances your worship service.

The sad fact is that you will be Looking for a New Organ 5 years from now. Maybe you will make the right choice then.

    Blessings to you.

  • A church I used to play for, in the St. Louis area, bought a Rodgers we had Issues with it right away. To make matters worse we could not get it serviced for 2 months. Shortly after, we had preset issues. They did not send anyone for repair for 5 months.

I now play for a different church and they bought an Allen last year. It sounds like real pipes moreover no Issues. Allen Service has already provided 2 workshops for us. This has been a night and day difference from Rodgers.

  • If it were not for the buy out from Roland corperations, Rodgers would had been history as Rodgers did not have digital sampling technology like Allen Organ Company developed in 1971. Allen was the first, but Rodgers had to get bailed out by Rolland, becuase Rodgers were only analog, not digital like the Allen organs. I heard both name brands and I think Allen sounds much better than Rodgers!

  • @song1writer When I say "WE", i use that term because I am a huge fan of Rodgers organs. Have been for the last 20 years or so. Like when you like a sports team, say, the Cubs and they win, you say "Hey! We won!"...get the picture? :)

  • @oofahman so it sound like you sell Rodgers... not a consumer like your previous said.

  • @scotto40 I guess I must have hit a raw nerve. Arrogant? Yes I most certainly am, thank you!! :)

  • @oofahman I am quite happy that you are happy with the Rodgers organ. That's great for you and for others who are happy with Rodgers. On the other hand, I am quite happy with Allen. No need for you to be so arrogant to call Allen and Alien. No one cares about your distasteful humor.

  • @midwestmusicstl Glad to tell you, we DID make the right choice in purchasing a Rodgers. In fact, Rodgers has outsold Alien's by an almost 3-1 margin here in Central Massachusetts. Rodgers also won a contract with a huge Baptist church in Hartford CT. over Alien. A custom-built Four manual. We have a new Rodgers going into a church this week as well...in the middle of an Alien sales rep. territory, too. Another new Rodgers installation in Central Mass. :) :) :) :) :)

  • @scotto40 Well, Scotto40, hate to break it to you, but I've played Rodgers organs that are over 35 years old, 20 years old, 18 years old and 12 years. I have the 'repair' records for all of these. Total repairs? three, trois, tres..THREE! 1). I broke one of the swell pedal springs on accident while playing with my over-sized sneakers. The Rodgers people were there THE SAME DAY to fix it. 2) Interference in a speaker; There were there the next day; problem solved. 3) onenew speaker for 35 y.o.

  • @oofahman just wait until that Rodgers starts breaking down.... we will see how good you think they are then.

  • @oofahman I agree with you, Allen Organs ARE terrible, and Allen Organ Company is practically in my back yard, and I prefer to go a couple miles down the road to Zionsville to Walker Technical Company. Walker provides a much purer sound than the Allen, or the Rodgers, especially when it comes to the reeds. They rebuilt the organ at the US Naval Academy, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, as well as added digital voices to the organ at the National Cathedral, and Crystal Cathedral

  • @oofahman I've often found it to the the opposite. Rodgers will eagerly sell you a new instrument but their installations are often poorly done. Getting them to respond for a service call is next to impossible, and service calls for their newer organs come fairly regularly.
