Lotus is bringing a handful of new models to next week's 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, one of which is this heavily revamped Exige caught testing recently in Europe.

It gets an extended wheelbase and possibly a wider track to accommodate the 3.5-liter V-6 engine used in the Evora. Peak output should match the Evora's 276 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque, and we hope a supercharged S model is launched too.

  • @unrealshrimp it is meant to hide the detail work of the car. prevents spoilers before an event

  • whats with the disgusting paint

  • @Battlefresh look at lotus' website, its clearly an exige

  • There's no roof intake...so either this is not an Exige model or they have repositioned the intercooler for 2012. Let's hope they moved the intercooler and opened up rear visability.

  • @JustBlaze234

    Looks like the Elise SC

  • whats the other car elise r?

  • Its too heavy now.

  • This is not the new Exige, this is the Willy Wonka edition Evora to go along side the Freddie Mercury and Byonce edition Evora's lol.

Lets hope CEO Behar can get one car right if he's not too busy ass kissing celebrities.

  • There is also nothing wrong with either car. I personally own a S240 Exige.

  • All of you guys are right and wrong. The Exige is a little more performance than the Elise. More power more downforce and more aggressive looking. The Exige is not lighter than the Elise but it's not much heavier.
