I was at the show the night before with AC/DC opening. Glad I missed the Piper opening show, never been a big Squier fan and AC/DC kicked ass!

@Chrisdrumz sorry fo any confusion I went to the show that Billy Squier's band Piper opend for Kiss on 12/20/77 I had some friends that went for the ac/dc show the night before they said it was good but it was a short set and not alot of people knew AC/DC at that time. I worked for the sound company that did AC/DC in the mid 80s and met Malcolm and Cliff a few times I always wanted to ask them if they remembed that Kiss show but never did.

@beowulven Yep.. I was there too ....AC/DC opened the night before 12/19/77

The brilliance of Stanley Eisen and Chaim Witz, aside from being business geniuses (ahem) is that they are true believers, lovers of rock & roll. And that they allegedly remained relatively sober at a time when... well, you know. Godspeed.

Not at this show, I was there (and won't shut up about it). Billy Squier's not-amazing band Piper opened. Apologies if I haven't read every post, just saying...
they were so fucking fired up during this show! this really was the Firehouse!

I wish I could have seen them in the 70's.
That was an awesome time back then. The first time I finally got to see them was in 1983 in minneapolis. First time in make up at the 1996 reunion tour in K.C.
and all the others, asylum, hot in the shade, revenge tour. Even paul stanley's solo tour at the myth in minneapolis. But never in the 70's. So I think you all are pretty lucky to have been there.
