This thing is twice as much as the Cam Caddie Scorpion which will gain you the same if not better results and allows you to attach lights/mics/and a monitor if need be.

Very nice man... can you answer this... will my sony nex 5 with 18-200mm emonunt lens be too heavy for this???

Great video! My buddy just got one that I will be using to shoot videos for my blog.

@videopartypatrol I have started to beef up accessories for my new Canon HF S100 with a Azden mic on top, so do you think my camcorder would push the limits on the manfrotto similarly to your hv20?

Could you add a bolt on the front mid point and on the bottom to add more weight with washers? Seems like that would be an easy way to 'upgrade' the stability. Closer to a merlin?
-
@cabes1978 It's specifications say up to 1.7 pounds

Got seasick on the video test. Not a good sign
I know you get some redundant questions like if the cannon xh-a1 is too heavey LoL...BUT I have a question ,you say the hv20/hv30 pushes the limits but what if i were to add a azden SMX-10/or a raynox wide angle lense would that be pushing the weight limit to far?Let me know your opinion on this, thanks.
P.S. Like the review!

Nice demo. Quick question. Would a Sony FX1 be a little too heavy for something like this?

much to heavy. Its designed for a consumer camera

can I use it with my cannon xh-a1? I haven't find the max. capacity load anywhere.
Thanks

no. that camera is way to heavy. it is only designed for small consumer cameras. I have and used the Canon HV20 for the demo and that was pushing the limits for weight.
