A Mighty Wind Blows

Goodsoil worship at Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, on Aug. 19, 2009, right after a tornado damaged the church as well as the convention center next door where the ELCA churchwide assembly just voted to affirm the Human Sexuality social statement. Some pointed to the tornado as a sign that the church is taking a wrong turn here. Others pointed out that after the sexuality vote was taken, the sun came out. I believe God is speaking a new word - of inclusion and of love. I disabled comments because the majority were hate speech - bearing false witness against the neightbor. That's not allowed - it's against God's law. Let's let God's perfect love triumph and cast out fear and hate.
