After our first ride of the new Yamaha Super Tenere, we can confirm that Yamaha's new adventure bike has a brilliant engine and is a credible alternative to BMW's popular R1200GS. Watch the video for action from the world launch, which included 2-days and 620 miles of riding in rain, snow, sunshine and dirt.

  • Guys - more professionalism, less vistas, less corny S bend shots. More about the bike!

  • Well-I know less about the bike now than before I watched the video.

  • Is it just my screen, or does it look like the entire video was shot with a cell phone with the auto-focus set to "Off"?

At least they don't have rap/metal music in the background. Gotta give 'em credit for that.

Another ersatz bike review from the august body that is Motorcyclenews.

  • Has the sound of a Kawasaki EN500 twin motor, It has the looks of a large bike. It weighs ready to ride at 575 LBS and makes a little over 107+ HP, and it looks nice for it's type. Just a little to tall for me in the seat height of 33.26" low or 34.25" high. Still ride able thou. They could have made a better video for it. Most of the info I found was in the cycle shop & online.

  • Was that Bike's MFG's baldy head I spotted just after the yamaha technician?

  • shut the f"£K up and RIDE!! please.

  • @rzbrasil I can't wait to find an alternative to the BMW, that keeps its price has (overall) a good network of dealers etc. I've had loads of problems but at least they are dealt with, I don't know about other dealers' network consistency but I fear apart from Triumph I wouldn't get the service.(of course It may not be required as often!)

  • Just a great bike, I've test rode it three times now--- I will be getting one!!

  • poor video.I have a GS1200, by the way I think the GS is a shit! It is only 20.000 miles and has lot of problems, but after saw this video still not a reason to change the bike.It is a shame!

  • Rupert Paul, the man who started the Cadwell Park riot because he removed a big titted girl from the stage killing the 'entertainment'......the rest is folklore......Man up Rupe!

  • Touringgg....nguuung..ngung.
