German soprano Juliane Banse makes her BSO debut in Mahler's heartwarming, sunlit Symphony No. 4, which has as its finale a setting of the poem The Heavenly Life, from the German folk poetry collection Des Knaben Wunderhorn (Youth's Magic Horn). April 16-18 at Symphony Hall.

  • Thank you for telling us all the singers and conductors to have performed this piece with BSO. Unfortunately you forgot to tell us their dates of birth, height, shoe size and favorite color, and the exact time they took to perform each movement to the nearest millisecond.

OK I'm being ironic - there are far too many figures in this audio! It's a reel of chronological data, with no rhyme or reason to it - it's not information, it's just data.

  • Mahler 4 is one of my favorites, but I hope the BSO does again soon or the BP.
