@StratPMan I don't know about his overall health, other than like all of us old buzzards, we tend to slow down. Even though I long for guitar playing & energy like the early Dire Straits albums, I appreciate his current music, much as a fine wine with age.

@StratPMan If you have a look at Guy Fletchers diary about this trip, you'll find that Mark had a bit of a tough time trying to get to this show

As a sailer and shipbuilder and a fan of MK - I just love this song !

You are right. He is indeed off sometimes here. Especially if you have listened to this song in album. Album version is obviously stunning.

5 years ago he had an important motorbicycle accident. The "Ragpicker's dream" tour was cancelled because of that, and he certainly looks less fit since then.
Plus he's almost 60, and I guess age takes its toll.
However, as Leksingen has said, he certainly seems to be enjoying what he is doing now much more than he used to in the past. I just hope he keeps on writing songs and playing for many years!
Thanx so much for posting....Love Mark....how old is he now?....he dosent look like he feels well.....and I mean that with the most respect in the world....just wondering if anybody else noticed this

Hello there! He is 58 years old (today). And if you have seen any consert of the tour today, Kill To Get Crimson, you'll notice that he looks much more "alive" than what he did in 2001! Mark becomes better with the years it seams..
