Shiv Tandav - By Karaan Jodhani

Tāṇḍava or Tāṇḍava nṛtya, the divine art form, is a dance performed by the Hindu god Shiva. According to Hindu mythology, Shivas Tandava is a vigorous dance that is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution. While the Rudra Tandava depicts his violent nature, first as the creator and later as the destroyer of the universe, even of death itself; the Ananda Tandava depicts him as the enjoyer of his creation - the universe. In Indian tradition, Lord Shiva as Nataraja ( "Lord of dance") is the supreme lord of dance.Karan Jodhani is a maestro of Contemporary Indian classical dances. Karaan is a disciple of Sarju mohan Maharajah and has learnt kathak dance for about 6 years from Allahabad Prayag Sangeet Samiti - Allahabad(Directorate of Distance Education).Being recognized with various national awards, he has performed at very renowned institutions of dance in India. Karaan did his graduation in English Literature and is Post gradute in Journalism and Mass Communications from St. Xaviers College - Mumbai. Karan is presently in mumbai and is practicing the contemporary art of classical dancing along with his main stream profession of Media and other media related stuff.
