Delf deprecation should never be taken seriously, Doug is a highly talented, brilliant stand up (maybe the best), and he seems to be, by all accounts, a great guy. Comedians often talk shit about themselves, it usually a defense mechanism - tell someone your shit because when you're great it'll be with modesty.
