Every parent should be supportive of this message. Its silly to be against it. Everyday you send your child to an institution and let other people teach your child about life. This is no different, except you get to see for yourself what it is that is being taught, and as far as i saw (i saw the speech and im not even an american)... it was a damn good message.

Its good that he did it. Obama is an icon, hes a role model. He is proof that hard work does pay off. That is something that a lot of kids dont believe in. A lot of parents are not supportive of their childrens futures because they themselves are not successful. Not every parent knows whats best for their kids and obama is there to be that supporting figure that these kids need.

When and where did they beam a speech directly into a classroom?
Any speech made to children by those two were when children were at home with their parents who could appropriately discuss the speech with their children.
No, I'm not a bleeding heart, I voted for Obama and I didn't agree with this at all.

what i say doesnt count but im happy that obama is giving an actual speech to us the students it shows that he has some intrest in the u.s and across the world im taking in consideration that not other presidents in the past have made any speeches to the students that im aware of like he said the things we do in this life can mark the future and presnt
