Helmut Berger, eccentric Austrian/Italian actor (born 29.5.1944 Salzburg, Austria) becames famous and international moviestar in Italy as favorite actor of the great director Luchino Visconti who was later his partner. He was living in Rome, his greatest part was the Bavarian King Ludwig II by Visconti's movie "Ludwig". Since 2004 he is living again in Austria, Salzburg.

Eleganter Zusammenschnitt. Bergers Autobiographie 'Ich' war auch sehr unterhaltsam zu lesen, v.a. die Beschreibung diverser Eskapaden und des Jet-Sets in den 60ern und 70ern mit dem Fokus Rom war inspirierend...

In 1981 I lived in Rome -Italy and used to work in a Restaurant on Via Garibaldi..One night I was living when I saw that car coming and gues who was coming out? Helmut Berger...He was gorgeous...I have his authograph..

The best part of him that he is on screnn not only beautiful man but fantastic actor who brings each role to live, like some but few others, I think about Paul Newman, Jude Law, Thanks
