I remember this.The Giants used to purposely wear their white uniforms to force the Cowboys to wear their dark jerseys.

you have to understand that dorsett always had to share carries throughout his career, early on with robert newhouse and ron springs, later with timmy newsome and herschel. It was part because of his slight build, and part because in the days when teams ran a lot more and didn't have to worry with free agency and a salary cap, it was just more common to have more ball carriers.

Tony D. knew he was the man and was outspoken. Landry hated that. He wanted everyone to be part of the system. Landry acquired Walker to stick it to Dorsett - to prove that anyone couldbe plugged into his offense.

i always thought it was funny that walker and bates ended up on the same team.

i agree. dorsett had over a 1000 yards in every season he played except the strike season of '82 when he still had well over 700 yds. herschel was good but he wasn't needed. agree.

I still can't figure out what the hell Tom Landry and the coaching staff were thinking when they cut Dorsett's carries in half in favor of Walker

Dorsett was CLEARLY more versatille more creative and a WAY BETTER runner than Walker

All Walker could do well was run over people

Dorsett ran around and away from EVERYBODY, even here in his later years You can see how much better Dorsett was than Walker
