No that's not it. There's no mention of any asteroid in this episode. It's just that the model they're using for the sun is probably made out of cardboard with some flames poking out of it, making it grey.

Well some are good, but TB was based on true life danger. That makes it so good. If Gerry Anderson does make the remake of TB, i really hope it would be the same as the old one and not a Johnatan Franks style (the movie was good, but it looked more like a spy kid movie then the classic TB) ps: i don't really like alan in the movie
