If you don't believe in God, that's your choice. And there is no compulsion to force anyone to accept Islam; it only occurs when Allah changes your heart to accept the Truth that not only does the One True God actually exist, but the continuity of your life depends upon Him. Whether you acknowledge it or not. Even our shadows prostrate to him simply by being subject to the Laws of Allah's Creation, yet many refuse to bow to Him in ungrateful disobedience.
There can only be One God; Muslims call Him 'Allah', Arabic for 'The Deity' and 'Ellah' in Aramaic, (the language that Jesus (A) spoke). Even Arabic Christian Bibles use the name Allah for God in the Monotheistic Tradition. But it all boils down to how we understand Him. A good starting point is to know what Allah isn't in order to know what He is. For example, the word 'Allah' is not a plural (like 'gods'), and is not a gender (like 'goddess'), and 'We' is used for Him as a means of dignity and respect (like Queen Victoria referring to herself by saying "We are not amused!")
