@linwooddeaton And what exactly do u think we are?? we are exactly like you, human beings! chicanos and Anglos bleed the same blood and cry the same tears, so really there is no difference between you and I
@austinkathi Ok...cool. ANYWAYS. What it really comes down to is those abusing the system, illegal or not. And as far as hatred, what are you talking about? All through junior high, high school, I dedicated my spring break to do missionary work in Mexico. Your assumptions are pure ignorance.
@71fredyb Just for the record, you mentioned bad seeds, i wondered how many considered me or your dad bad seeds. Probably good citizens like yourself (not you, of course) still consider us bad seeds. I need to leave my office now. I promised my kids that i would take them to the pool today. Take care man...stop the hatred, i know you can do it!!! I respect you and consider you my boy, believe it or not...I can tell you are a good man, you just need to mature more but i know that will get there..
@jonlawson87 Botton line is this man: we are in different point of view, period. I respect your opinions and point of views which are not mine. I can not make you to look things my way the same way that you can not make me look things your way; but i want you to know this: Not everybody its me or your dad, and if i can make things easier for others that are also good people, i will. Just bc i suffer to get where i am at, does not mean to me that others have to.
@71fredyb I would not say it is a good place to start, but a good place to build upon. Teachers don't have the time to teach them things their parents should have already taught them, sad but true. But what I believe it truly comes down to is a person having that determination to do well. Which sadly, this new group of kids don't have much of. I say it is in yourself, based on my father. He had no father, and a mother who worked 24/7. Yet he still prevailed.
@jonlawson87 That is a good point, and agree with you. Unfortunately, not many kids have the blessing of being raised in a normal home, i am talking of mom and dad, some good parents are too old fashioned to teach their kids bc they are embarrased, not many have good both parents, some good parents being deported and leaving their US citizens kids behind, good families being separated bc of bad US immigration policies. Many, many factors that makes school an esential good place to start.
@71fredyb This past year I was a teacher for chemistry at a low income school district, which a fairly even ethnic spread. Education in general needs to be redone. I am very blessed that I was able to attend a very notable public high school. And after teaching for a year at another district, I can tell you that education starts at home. It is not the teachers that make the school, but the parents.
@jonlawson87 There are a ton of people that voted for Barack bc he is black, i agree with you. I voted for him bc there was not other better candidate for me. If we will talk politics, you are just a baby to me,no offence please. I know what libertarians are. If you would like to see less of us, write to the hypocritical republicans representatives, to allow sexual education in schools, bc i do not need to see the # of latinos growing in this country, what i want to see is more educated latinos
@71fredyb I am not talking about those that try to do everything by the book...I am talking about those who try to take advantage of the generous system here. Granted, there is a higher % that do things by the book, but there is still enough of those that don't to have a negative impact.
