You should be commended that you did the right thing - it shows integrity and concern to Coasties safety on a personal level when someone see something wrong and has the guts to speak up - even if it costs his job.

hi mike, good idea to start a whitle bower site. i was just researching such and came across your story. i have been curious of life after whistle blowers. news never follow up on such stories. i'm glad you spoke out. many are afraid of retaliation. peace

engineer students in france are studying your case and the ethical question raised in blowing the whistle on lockheed martin. could you please send me a copy of the speech you gave at the reception of the ieee when you received the carl barus award and also if you know the criteria which motivated the ieee's choice among other nominees. if you happen to have any letters and/or documents, i would appreciate your sharing them with me. thanks for replying -urgently and congratulations!

As the Father of a Coast Guardsman, your observations of this huge Deepwater debacle, are the logical extension of the incompetence that I have observed/learned of, in the day-to-day operations of the CG. It scares me that our country's borders are in the hands of Homeland Security. They do not appear capable of protecting anybody. The Coast Guard appears to be a shoestring operation with mammoth expectations. Who will save the Coast Guard from Homeland Security? My prayers are with you.

They said the same thing when each of the 8 123s was delivered. Don't be blinded by loyalty. Look in to all of it - have an open mind and make objective and rational conclusions. Is it possible the NSC is OK - yes it is. it's just not probable. Every one of my allegations has proven to be accurate. Check out Blore's comments in the recent Mississippi Press article. Check out this months Corporate Counsel online.
