Just some good clean fun with a Baja Telecaster and a Fender Super Champ XD modded with a 12" speaker. Have tried several and this Red White and Blues just kills.

  • Hi. Very nice tone ! I play Stratocaster and Telecaster plug in several all tube amps with 2x6V6 15W and 10W class A and an other 6L6 50W BF Fender clone. I am looking for an american tone speaker useful for Texas Blues, Country, Funk, Soul and somtime Jazzy and Blue-Jazz approch. Do you think that the Eminence Red White and Blues could be a good choice for me ? Your demo seems to say me yes ! Can you confirm my impression ? Best regards.

  • @mikka972 Yes. Great speaker. I have had it a long time now and really keep digging it. That's a good sign.

  • Gosh, I admire your playing...

Could you do another video about the Blackface tones of the SCXD, using your Strat, but with this 12' version of the amp? All the best.

  • @rolijen : I just purchased a RW 'n B three weeks ago and I am digging it me too, thick tone with crisp mids, smooth trebles and tight bass ... exactly what I am looking for. Thanx for your help man !

  • @rolijen I will add that I did not use the S-1 type switching on this "baja" build. Standard modern Tele 3-way switching with a quality switch and pots and a quality cap. I am not a fan of the actual Baja Tele's wiring scheme (I hear that lots of people like it. I don't).

  • @uribengal Thank you for watching. I am generally pleased with the quality of construction. My only gripe is the holes were pre-drilled and are not centered well--the amp chassis sits a little crooked in the cabinet. Most people would never notice, but it bugs me. That said, it is still a very well built, solid cabinet and very much worth the price.

  • @rolijen Are you satisfied with the quality of Newell's cabinet?

Very nice playing and excellent tone. Thanks.

  • @JonathanMichaelSpain This is a Tele I built using a lightweight (3lbs 14oz)Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster body (blonde) and a Baja Tele neck. Custom Shop Nocaster pickups, AVRI 52 pickguard. I also used an electro-socket jack (so much better than the standard Fender jack cup). Standard 3 brass barrel/saddle bridge. Plays well, sounds good. As for the song, I don't know if this is stolen from any actual song. i was just making it up as I went

  • May I ask what kind of tele you own ? What where you playing, did you make that up?

  • @rolijen : Ok, Thanx a lot for your answer ! I read that someone put RW&B with a CR in 2x12" cab.

  • @mikka972 Yes. For a 12" speaker that works great in a small amp, I am sold on the Red White and Blues as the best all-around choice. I've heard great things about the Cannibis Rex too but I really like my R,W&B.
