  • I am not sure what you mean by "platform." I am working on a table and using Scrabble tiles for the piece.

  • Hi. A lot of people suggest epoxy resin instead of the diamond glaze have you ever tried it and if so is it better? also how do you get your images that small? I have tried but i might be using the wrong software or something because they always come out blurry

  • @MrsDracoMalfoy13

I haven't tried epoxy resin for these charms but I did for another project and didn't have much luck. I love how easy the diamond glaze is to work with. No mixing of product, no waste and it pours nicely with the applicator tip. I have charms that I made five years ago that are still holding up strong with the DG.

As far as the images, I use Photoshop to crop them to size. Maybe your image size is too small to start with? Mine are usually about .8 in x .8 in and 300dpi.

  • Does the ModPodge Glossy product work instead of Diamond Glaze, I can't find Diamond Glaze anywhere. Also, where do you buy your bails? I can only find a pack of 2 or 5 and they are very expensive.

  • @MrsFenFen If you visit the show notes for the full version of the show you will find links to all of the supplies I use including diamond glaze and bales. Just visit the Crafted by Us website. Also I haven't ever used ModPodge Glossy, but you could try it once and see how it works for you.

  • Thank you for posting this! I see these creations all over Etsy and wanted to learn how to make my own. Looks totally easy! But what kind of paper do you pint the image on? Is it photo paper? Thank you.

  • @jessfromny I use whatever paper works. By this I mean I test it first. Some ink jet printers and some papers will not work. Try printing on whatever you have and then put a dab of diamond glaze on the paper over what you have printed. Let it dry and see what happens. If it works, then go for it. If not, try something else. But, I do recommend testing your ink and paper before actually making a bunch and finding that the ink you used runs or the paper doesn't hold up. Good luck!

  • Most home printers ink run when you add any liquids to them. I print my projects at home and then take them to Office Max and copy my pics using their lazer jet printers. It's pretty cheap and I don't have to worry about runny images.

  • where can i get the platform you put the tile on?
