  • lol the kids wearing a helmet

  • Yes and it's a good thing too! It was edited out but at about 2:25 they almost tipped over and the little guy would have been thrown out. The car isn't very stable in a turn if the weight is on the outside of the turn.

  • not bad but it does need more air and another actuator, also needs a derailleur might get a bit more speed.

  • Yes, if we do it again we will be using a high pressure tank/regulator setup, much lighter chassis and possibly use the gears. I don't recommend another actuator as that will just use the air up twice as fast. Once you are up to speed one is sufficient, just need more pressure.

  • next... make that thing steam powered :P

  • That would be a fun experiment! You've got my gears turning...

  • I bet 90% of people r just here to get a science experiment idea...

  • I wish i would of had a dad that made great things...your kids are lucky!

  • you could of have added 2 smaller wheels on the back as a weight balance and would of went faster because all the weight is not on the back wheel

  • @odie714 Find an old bike you can weld brackets to, a dive tank, a pressure regulator to drop the pressure to 100psi, a compressed air drill. chuck a sprocket in the drill, chain drive to rear wheel. Spend $15 at a dive shop to fill the tanks trundle down the road for 400 yards. Refill tank

    Put video on youtube

wait for applause from the ignorant

    Whee

or you could use a cordless electric drill and be faster lighter and more energy efficient

  • @odie714 what are you talking about??

  • Dear qsiman, my name is Ian Sager and I am a strait A 6th grader. I am looking into entering the Louisiana science fair soon and would like to use your idea. You also said in one of your comments that you made a lighter and faster version. If possible could you email me at ian14@eatel.net and give me some instructions on how to build this air-powered car. I hope to hear from you soon.

  • pash pish pash pish pash pish

  • Way to go. Great Video. Keep up the good work.

  • you could make this go 5-15 miles if you use 2 scuba tanks with a regulator to take the pressure from 230 Bar down to 140-215 PSI.
