Children's Dental Health Month

I have always encouraged good dental health and making sure children receive dental care is without a doubt the most important first step. While there has been some progress, there is still work to be done and I am committed to making dental coverage a reality for all children. We must raise awareness of the importance of oral care to see that all children in West Virginia grow up to have healthy teeth and mouths, and February's designation of National Children's Dental Health Month gives us a perfect opportunity to do so.

Great points on why we need to educate and promote optimal oral health for all of our children. Kids (& adults) need not fear the dentist anymore...dentists need to communicate local public health info regularly through multiple channels in order to educate and engage their local communities.
