@kettle18 "Reign in Blood" is severely overrated I think. Its a great album and probably one of the best Thrash albums of the 80's, but fucking "Hell Awaits" was so much better. It was more developed than RiB with far more intelligent song writing. It was essentially Slayer at their best. RiB stripped down their music and simply went for being the fastest shit on the block. That doesn't make it their best.

i personally am not a major slayer fan. however i LOVE the album show no mercy in my opinion its by far their best album because its pure thrash.

@wazza32295 Also, to say that Justice was Metallica's best is borderline heresy, because Cliff Burton only wrote about half of it, and he was what made Metallica as amazing they were...you know, 'till he died. James started doing the writing that Cliff couldn't do and so as a result they started to suck. The Black Album was their last good album, I refuse to argue with anyone on that.

@wazza32295 hey dude, did you ever think there might be a reason why Puppets and Reign put those bands on the map? I'll admit, Puppets isn't my favorite by Metallica (Lightening is) but still, Reign in Blood was not only Slayer's best album, but arguably Metal's best album (next to about four others). It's certainly the best thrash album at least. I'm sorry man but there's really no comparison.
