Vietnam veteran Evan Jones performs in August 1999 at the Torrens Parade Ground Adelaide South Australia at a Concert held annually to commemorate the Battle of Long Tan.
Evan was conscripted in 1968 and his experiences in Vietnam as an Intelligence Dutyman and photographer with 5RAR gave him much material for future songs.
While finishing his National Service in 1970 Evan's brother Idris's group The Mixtures recorded the brother's 1966 composition "The Pushbike Song". It went on to sell well over a million copies around the world, topping the charts in many countries. "Your Son In Vietnam" copyright Evan Jones 1984.

too true..."it's you'll they'll call for future Vietnams".
Say Afghanistan, Iraq.
That is a great song. Why haven't we heard it before.
Is it the same Evan Jones who wrote the Pushbike Song?

Great song - nice melody with simple and insightful lyrics - '....Confused, abused and feeling used....'.
Very good voice too, clear and strong.
Thanks for posting
