  • Which engine does Class 071 have?, EMD 645, 710?. It seems it has a V8 or V12 645 engine. Am I right?. Thanks in advance

  • Yep, its an EMD 645E3C - V12, great sound. Thanks for the comment teles333

  • sounds like a class 66

  • Both classes built by EMD - general motors.

We've been using North American built locos since 1960. This was class built in 1976

  • Nice turbo sound

  • @botchBetting

FUCK YOU!!! Oh I'm sorry, did I make you go crying to mammy?

  • The freight livery was mainly made to mimic the first livery of the CIE 121 Class when they were delivered fresh to Ireland in the 1960s. This livery is basically a mock up of the first livery ever carried by a General Motors locomotive.

  • Aw bless, did you learn that dirty word in the playground today and now you know what it means you can't stop using it. Trains and people who like them must really make you angry. That's ok ,I used to get angry at things when I was your age. Don't worry that anger goes away when you grow up.

  • The Irish Rail Freght scene will improve in due course. just at a low at the moment

  • No the Guinness has been gone a few years now. Zinc ore from Tara Mines and some cement trains remain, along with a shale service in Limerick which is usually operated by 141s.

  • Thats a long goods train by Irish standards! What freight is still carried by rail? Are guinness kegs still hauled? Used to remember seeing them and hearing them being offloaded in athlone every night, I live close enough to the station...
