You know, I see your point. But here is how I see it: The first time Sen. Obama mentioned the 5 million dollar answer he acknowledged it was a joke. I think his overarching point is that even though John Mccain was joking his policies are actually consistent with the joke/answer because he wants to give tax breaks to the wealthiest americans.
I disagree. John Mccain has said a lot of things that are just being completely ignored by the media, and Obama's campaign. All I can say that if Mccain wins, he will try to do everything that he said he would do. Dont look back and say oh I thought he was joking. This election is not a game.
The man is trying to win a campaign. Mud is being slinged his way and it's working so he is fighting back unstead of sitting back playing the good guy.
Second Point: McCain clearly was joking when he made that statement, and shortly after he said that, quickly followed up by saying something to the likes of, "that'll probably be distorted." I find it unfortunate that Barack Obama would misrepresent the rhetoric in which we know was not intended to be considered a serious answer.
Again, I support Barack Obama and believe the country should also. VOTE OBAMA!
