I love Led Zeppelin...... But Queen was better..!

I can see why LZ didn't want this performance on the Live Aid reissue. Technical problems, general rustiness, and Phil Collins makes for a struggling set.

Oh and 2 drummers are not better than one, no rehearsal meant both where shit.

I was 17 at the time. I could hear the monitors going in and out, I could hear Jimmy's mighty struggle to tune a guitar throughout a song as ...um....busy, as Rock n' Roll, and yes a could even hear Plant's awefully painfully hoarse voice. Yet at the time I loved it, sounds atrocious now.

@herbal1971 You're right, for me The Song Remais The Same, both live album and video are just horrendous.

The biggest drawback here is that the guitar is way to soft. In fact, the whole mix is just crap. Everything's unbalanced. The vocals are too loud, with no discernible reverb. If you listen closely the performance it wasn't really that bad, except for a giant gaff at the end of page's solo in Whole Lotta love, where the drummers miss a cue.

Not even two drummers can make justice to the great Bonzo.

they SUCKed live. I saw them on 72 and they weren't all that great live. They had peaked by then.
Even though I'm a die hard Zeppelin fan,i have to say from my point of view,Queen's performance stole the whole show.
