The 33-Day-War in Lebanon - 2006

On March 14, 2005, the Lebanese people inspired the world with their peaceful demonstrations that broke their fear and forced the Syrian occupation out of Lebanon after 30 years of humiliation. But in July 2006, their dreams were shattered and the Lebanese people were caught between two destructive powers. Both sides tried to justify their unjustified war. Innocent people died for nothing. Years after, the truth began to unfold: On March 8, 2007, Ehud Olmert confessed that it was a pre-planned war. On July 2008, Israel released the prisoners. On August 2009, Olmert was accused of corruption. 1200 Lebanese died, 30% of them were children under 13.
On the other side, the Lebanese Army deployed its troops in South of Lebanon which was a controversial issue before the war.
We were witnesses to this horrible war. May the souls of innocent people- whether Jewish, Christians, or Muslims- who died rest in peace.
