I cried when he made the analogy with the Beatles song. Michelle was not Lennon's creation but by saying I Love You and giving a bit of his influence into Mcartneys creation, Lennon made it his own and created such a beautiful song together. Lucy was Michele and Sam was Lennon. So that's why by saying I Love You, Sam made Lucy a beautiful child his creation and stated that it would be an injustice to separate them as it was an injustice to the world when the Beatles split.

They purposefully shot the film this way so that the audience sees life through the eyes of Sam. Things jump around a lot and get confusing and you don't tend to see the whole picture very clearly....just like Sam. It brings you into his world rather than viewing him as an outsider. You become more involved in his life this way rather than seeing everything clearly.....it allows you to sympathize with and understand Sam in a better light.

mr. turner is simply the prosecution. And as all lawyers, he wants to win the case for his side. No one is gonna hire a prosecution that sympathises with the defense, what kind of lawyer would he be then?

Its a cold and heartless job, even if Mr turner believed sam should get custody, he wouldnt show it. Your ethics are thrown out the window, in that court, all a lawyer cares about is winning the case. But reality is, he is heartless and believes like everyone else, that sam is unfit.
