  • are you using metric or conventional units?

Big difference between 300Mph and 300 kph.

  • as on all of my vids this is in miles per hour, not Kph.

  • Real race cars should not use the dang powerglide 2-speed automatic. If it had a Hewland, it might have won every race it entered.

  • sorry look at my comment for 375GTB

  • 3rd gear? no?

Still amazing, how much power is this tuned to?

  • It's tuned to max power, with all available upgrades

  • @justforever96 My understanding it always used a 2 speed powerglide. They reworked it to handle the HP. But I'm not an expert. Google it up and let me know, I will too. But right now I'm busy.

  • @IExposeMormonism It really used a Powerglide? I thought that was just some video game upgrade thing. All I've ever read is that they used a 3-speed "semi-automatic" transaxle; I assumed it was a automated-clutch type deal. I also read that it was very prone to breakage. So if it was a powerglide, was it more like the guts of a powerglide turned into a transaxle? And was it really only two speeds? Seems odd for a race car, unless it's going to be running oval tracks.

  • @justforever96 I don't think most people know this is a video game. And the Chaparral used a powerglide transmission with a 2:20 fist gear, good for close to 100mph, depending on rear end ratio. 2nd, high gear, was around 200. with a 3:00 ish rear end.

  • @IExposeMormonism That was sarcasm. I guess you hadn't noticed. And I think most of these people know this is a video game and are discussing different ways to tune their cars, or whatever they do. Whatever floats your boat. IF I had any video games, I'd rather race in "stock" configuration, myself.

  • @justforever96 The Chaparral didn't go 300mph and this is a video game I seem to be the only one noticing it.

  • Huh...I didn't know that Chaparral 2D's could make 300mph...

  • This video game crap pisses me off!

  • Go high on the banking and come down for a couple more mph. Did you reduce downforce to the minimum, reduce ride height to minimum and increase spring rates to max?

  • my chaparral 415,08max speed
