The short film displayed here is an old-fashioned flicker film, which provided the introduction to the Buttons & Bows Musical Revue at Six Gun Territory, Silver Springs, Florida, in the year 1977. The ending of the film will seem odd to some viewers, because the girl dancers in the film are first seen in black and white, then gradually become colorized as they walk toward the camera and literally burst through the movie screen, and onto the stage. You will observe that the film ends abruptly because, obviously, the remainder of the performance took place live onstage. After that dynamic entrance, the girls would dance their way up a small footbridge onto the saloon's bar, where they performed the opening dance number in front of enthusiastic cheering crowds. Once the dancers returned to the stage, the 30 minute rapid-paced performance continued on through its conclusion. The lively and fun Musical Revue included 4 dancers, a male and female singer and two musicians; piano and drums. Sadly, Six Gun Territory no longer exists but the nostalgic western theme park was a major attraction in Florida for many years, pre-dating Walt Disney World. Both the film and the Buttons & Bows Revue were created and directed by Ben Rossi.
