I don't like how DC treated Elongated Man for any number of there recent stories finally just kill him off,did they have reasons as to why he became so unliked for the writers?

Same question should be asked as to why Aquaman's supporting cast(Tempest,Dolpfin,originial Aquagirl)is all still dead for no real reason other then just being dark and depressing

I hope the dc universe classics toy line makes an elongated action figure so I can have him displayed next to plastic man. elongated man is awesome.
