in the comic, Neros ship was reversed engineered borg tech, thats why it was so freakishly powerful and BIG lol
and by what the writers said the new enterprise and following starfleet tech
was inspired by scans of Neros ship, so its safe to say there tech is waaaayyyy further than it should have been. Its a good comic i recommend it.
