  • The music is great. What I like about James Brown and other great composers is how they combined 1 layer of the music over the other.

    1. The guitar riff, simple but beautiful in it's simplicity, it needs nothing else.

    2. The rest of the music floats on top of it.

    Fantastic.

  • @DomoDoughty, Don't blame your generation. Blame the Music Companies and MTV. Music now is not Art but Product. You have to have a certain look, personality, etc, and the music is secondary.

It costs more money to produce and create new music like JB, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell (who the record companies chased out because she refused formulated music)

I just hope your generation looks into Soul, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical and any music that is unique.

  • PUT ME OUT PUT ME OUT

  • @8bobthebuilder, Because the record companies have their own "composers" and musicians. They just need a pretty face to sell the product. It's all formulaic. That music is done very quickly, needing very little studio time. More time is spent on choreography than composing. The music differs little from song to song. Even MC Hammer stole Rick James music and a lot of JB moves & is out out of music because he is not an artist.

    Watch on YouTube or rent
