Wanna know how the Baumr-Ag goes? Like a little beauty, $158 delivered, Catch of the Day special. Chinese chainsaw wielded by KiwiStu the emperor of fallen branches. The wood here is like rock, its very dense and this chainsaw does a good job on it.

  • The Baumr is still going well cutting up HARDWOOD (aged salmon gum) like a dream, just got myself a electric sharpener for it, starts everytime, bar is still fine, I really have no idea what some people are commenting on, if the bar is getting hot, oil it, sharpen the chain, rest it, derrrrr. Now it is summer i have stashed it til firewood season or i need to remove fallen logs etc that have gone over fences or in roadways of the heavy machinery i drive. Will update later in the year.

  • I have bought 3 Baumr Ag pro saws. A 10 inch, 16 and 22 inch. They have all done alot of work and am very happy with them. They cannot be compared with an expensive make, however if you know small engines and have knowledge of small machinery there is no need to spend money on expensive machines. If the Baumr Ag Pro is looked after they will last a very long time. That is the way I see it and experience shows me that the people who don't know how to look after tools should buy expensive tools!!

  • @tahniboo I agree wholeheartedly with that. I also have experience with machinery and find that the Baumr is easy to maintain, but as you noted, if you have limited experience in that field go with something more expensive that you dont have to nurse along a bit. The quality of these saws is not the same as a stihl for example but the price is not the same either.

  • I have one of this chain saw. What a heap of crap it is .I use it to cut fire wood at home. The first time i used it it was good .the 2 time ok. the 3 time the bar on the saw was worn out had to flip the bar round . the clutch is worn out and stuffed .Don't buy one . save up and buy a stihl chainsaw and be done with it.

  • @stevedenau Did you put oil in it? My bar is perfectly fine and I have cut several hundred tonnes of wood........

  • Hi all, i doubted this saw but like most dont have the money for a stihl, 15 tonnes later. Hell at $129 to the door if it lasts 12 mounths ill just buy another. Ive already got my moneys worth.

  • @bert0246 Exactly, cant go wrong hey?

  • i have a baumr ag its a great saw but needs a new handle bar

  • the chiense figured out hte art of the copy long ago. once they figure out quality, then the worlds manufacturers are in trouble lol

  • @bert0246 OR at 40 jobs at 50 each. if they go that far. hey. why not. BUT if i have to be out in midst of nowhere, ill spend hte money. BUT if i have to take a saw, im not going to cry too bad if someone runs off wiht it, then one of these will suffice. i carry my stihl as my main. or my husqvarna, BUT i carry a cheap CN saw as a backup. cheap yes. poor quality, sure. BUT fwiw, if i can get 6mos out of one. im good. anythign after that im in profit. hell after 4 jobs on one of these its profit

  • Keep the updates coming. It will be interesting how long it lasts given some of the comments here.

  • baumr ag is the worst saw i have owned, dont try cutting hardwood they overheat real quick
