Dear Americans, do not believe this LIE.

The government here in Australia has put the tax through parliament (breaking a solemn promise that it wouldn't before the last election) but it does not start until July 1 2012.

The carbon tax was designed by the greens (who are in coalition with the ruling labor party) and is designed to hit hard and eventually destroy our biggest export industy - coal. It is the greens stated policy. Also in their sights are all heavy industry.
