What's the catch? Nobody can provide all these services for free and still have money to invest in advertising. How does Heywire make it's money?

I text from US Android phone to Canada iphone, it works and she doesn't have the app on her iphone! Totally free, at least on my end. The app.updated today to add picture messaging!

@christinadcao Yeah the person you're texting needs to have the app in order to be able to text you, and text you free.

@MrJondread If they have unlimited texts then it won't charge them. If they just have standard texting options then they will be charged.

amsurrender, there is NO charge for a message sent from your HeyWire # to any mobile user in the 114 countries that we support.
Please note: If your recipient doesn't have HeyWire and has an SMS capable phone they can reply to you with no problem and will be charged by their mobile operator for the appropriate rates for domestic or international text messaging.
