Listening to the studio version of this song, I always assumed Ocasek sang the lead. Orr sounds a lot like him.

Who fucking cares? It's a great song the way it's done here. You can't keep your instruments in tune all night and keep a groove going with the rest of the band. Strings go out of tune.
