Does John McCain actually agree with Phil Gramm's statement on a "nation of whiners"?
McCain's top economic adviser Phil Gramm: "...this is a mental recession... We have sort of become a nation of whiners."
John McCain, West Palm Beach Town Hall, 1/24/08: "As far as putting additional money in American taxpayer's pocket, that's fine because a lot of this is psychological. A lot of it's psychological.
"Because I believe the fundamentals of our economy is still strong. And it's not absolutely necessary that we are gonna be in a recession."
John McCain on "Your World with Neil Cavuto" show 4/16/08: "I'm very concerned about it Neil, and obviously, the way that it's been going up is just terrible but I think psychologically, and a lot of our problems today as you know are psychological, confidence, trust, uncertainty about our economic future, ability to keep our own home, this might give them a little psychological boost. Let's have some straight talk. ... and a little psychological boost."
John McCain from Jan. 30 Reagan Library debate. "... part of this is pscyhological. Part of the problem we have in any recession is psychological, and I'm still optimistic..."

Basically the McCain campaign thought they could deceive Americans into thinking Republicans didn't turn our economy into a recession - the recession is just psychological they said. Well it wasn't and 8 years of Bush's tax cuts and sky high pork barrel spending didn't help our economy get out of a recession.
damn this guy is stupid or pure evil. one thing is for shure... THIS GUY ALMOST WAS YOUR PRESIDENT! obama is shit better but this guy would have been a nightmare.
McCain should live in the shoes of people who have real struggles economically, who have no home or only one home to worry about ~ psychologically he wouldn't be voting for himself.
macain is a toss-pot, he'll die in office, hopefully, and his fucking misses, needs some good dark dick, the ugly bag, o, not to mention john's face is falling off, asshole
By the way, according to McCain, I shouldn't whine about my health care premiums being raised by $300 a month? I pay $700 a month to insure my wife and son - half my paycheck. So is that in my head? Again, we need Obama to help straighten out this mess.
Most definitely not, my friend. That's why I, John McCain, am going to offer your boss a tax break, allowing him to reinvest his earnings in his company. And let me tell you, my friend, some of that may trickle down to you.
