from Lightnin's first album after he was"rediscovered" in Houston Texas by Sam Charters and Mack McCormick .Sam Hopkins proved very elusive as he thought either the Police or collection agents were looking for him.This was recorded in Sams lodging house in 1959 and released on Folkways in 1962

I was introduced to Lightnin through Pandora about 6 months ago, and just cant get enough, this mans blues gives me the tingles, dont know what it is exactly but He makes you feel it, not only hear it.

heard this cd on Paul Jones bbc radio 2 in 1989, since bought 100s of blues cds
