Mark Taylor flew to Pignon to deliver a concrete blocks mold created by Illinois Institute of Technology students. It will be used in the construction of the building. He also worked with the local contractors to find ways to improve the strength of the locally-produced concrete.
There is a process that adds foam to concrete: "foamed concrete" (see YouTube). This can be formed into structural blocks and slabs.
If foamed concrete slabs can be created
(from pulverized rubbel?), they can be more easily transported and used first as
flooring under tents/shelters and then as modular building materials.
