Two cassette recorders are featured in this video. The first is a non-functioning GE 3-5027 and the second is an Optimus CTR-111.

  • Well, I was wondering where Murphy got to, keep him there. The Optimus does sound good, and looks like new.

  • @AllAmericanFiveRadio He's bound to show up sometime, especially in times like this. Now I know why I've had so much trouble when I want to do my demonstration videos ;)

  • Very nice Optimus AC bias recorder.

  • @CassetteMaster The best thing is that I have 2 of these recorders, one still new in the box! Any idea why the GE's motor won't turn? I should probably open it and do some inspection and tests.

  • @CameramanLink Maybe it's "frozen". Try giving it a turn and see if it turns freely. It might just need to be freed up and then spin fine. I have a talking book cassette player that had that problem.

  • @CassetteMaster Thanks! I'll try that.

  • That's a nice little shoebox recorder.

You should review the new one Panasonic makes.

    The Panasonic RQ2102.
