Under the Moon of Love wa a minor hit for Curtis Lee in 1961.
Mud's version featured on their 1975 album "Use your Imagination in 1975.
Just one year later Showaddywaddy released it as a single.

Whilst Showaddywaddy made this a hit , its hurts to think Mud brought this out BEFORE Waddy did !

@stinkalloy mud didnt want moonshine sally released,it was released by rak after they left the label.L L LUCY AND SHOW ME YOURE A WOMAN WERE TOP 10 HITS sorry caps on this song Les insisted would have been huge but was outvoted by the band.It was eventually the b-side of the flop Beating round the bush

Mud's version is good but not as good as Showaddywaddy's! :D

Nowhere near as good as the Waddys' version. I'm surprised Mud didn't do a proper version of it (minus the dire ending, slowed down a little bit) and release it as a single, instead of Moonshine Sally, L'L'Lucy or Show Me You're a Woman (all of which were good, but not big hits).

Great upload. I prefer Mud's version, it's rockier and less polished than SWW's
