  • "There's different types of oligarchy...the American, is not based on corruption or brute force, buying favor, etc."

  • Thats funny Mcain did run his campain on building unsafe nuclear power plants but dont worry it will provide cheap electricity followed by unsafe offshore drilling but dont worry it will provide cheap gasoline. that wasnt even the worst of his campain and he didnt loose by that much. Ron Paul is against all the regulation Mr Johnson claims no politician could run against and he polling very close to Obama.

  • We dont have control of the primaries so it will never change. If we can vote outside the parties then we will finally make it. Ron Paul or Ralph Nadar, but we can not get ourselves to do that, to bad!

  • The whole bank bailout was a sham. By most professional analysis the banks have not increased lending to Main Street, they have simply funded fire sale buying of devalued assets.

  • LOL, I agree. Funny how many of the most educated people are also the most naive. I think it is because studying under the system eventually results in buying into the system.

  • Yeah, free speech has become a tool of those that have already taken control of our government to solidify their hold. Is allowing this extreme misinterpretation of the First Amendment a pretense to scrap the First Amendment?

  • Make Spitzer treasury secretary, wall st heads will explode and the revenge of eliott on the banks will make hundreds of bankers retire early.

  • The banks giving out so much more cash than assets is simply putting the economy on speed. At some point the economy will be completely tapped out.

  • Sadly, gotta agree. The American approach has become the epitome of greed and using financial means to gain power, clout, and influence. Everything that America was supposed to be against has very strong support.

It's funny that many would argue that there are people out there who abuse their freedom of speech, that someone like Marilyn Manson, is going too far, but a rich person buying up influence is OK as freedom of speech, even when it's used to boost yourself at the expense of everyone.

  • The IMF is death and corruption incarnate. They bribe local governments to sign loans for huge engineering produces. They put incredibly disastrous economic conditions on the loans. They make sure the loaned money goes to American engineering companies, (little or no local job benefit). They lie about the general benefits of the project, especially the pay back. They drive countries into debt, force countries to privatize natural resources, and assassinate leaders that oppose them.(EconomicHitman)
