so what kind of welding rod did yo use for the fairing i have one to fix i have ABS PVC PP rods

@joebaileygl1500. The type of plastic should be stamped on the back of the faring. If the fairing is an older one then there may not be any stamp on the back of it. If this is the case, With your welding iron melt a spot on the back of the fairing as well as a welding rod (at the same time) and push them together. Them welding rod that doesn't pull off is the correct material to use. PS a lot of these fairings are made PP plastic.

how dod i fill a half doller size hole in my plstic fender? i dont have the piece the broke out. thanx

Hi You can repair the hole by using the reinforcement grid, by cutting the grid bigger than the hole and placing it over it and using the plastic welder to mely the grid into the surrounding area and then using the plastic welding rod for that type of plastic fill in the area slightly proud of the surface so it can be sanded back flush with the rest of the surface.
