Talking African Grey Parrot (with Subtitles)

This is Jackie, a Congo African grey parrot, who's almost two years old in this video.

She's practicing to music; she likes to listen to music while she talks. The music is the Doctor Mario (Chill) theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

"Are you a dealer?" comes from a inside-joke with my family about the antique business - being an "antique dealer" and not a drug dealer...

"Ding-the-bat" comes from her saying "ding-the-bell." My brother called her a "dingbat," and she started saying "ding-the-bat" instead of "dingbat."

And she really does play "peek-a-boo." It's so cute.

Thank you. Your parrot, Jabba, is such an adorable dancer. Jackie won't dance at all; I've tried lots of songs, but she'd rather talk as loud as possible during them.

Thank you. Birds, especially parrots and corvids (crows/ravens/jays) are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. Parrots and corvids have a brain-to-body ratio similar of that to apes.
