This is almost identical to the version in my new eBook: "12 Hymn Tunes for Ukulele". I'm afraid I can't always resist messing about with an arrangement when I play it.

  • I've had this song in my head all day today after not having heard in quite a while! I was watching another video when I saw this in the sidebar, and figured I ought to give it a listen! Great job, sir!

  • Thanks for listening.

  • Ken, thanks for responding. May I ask how come you don't like the baritone size? I thought it might be easier since I already know the notes for a guitar, and they would be the same. Since you already played guitar, didn't you find it confusing to learn all new notes for the uke? What is it you like better about the tenor?

    I just LOVE your playing!!

  • Can't remember whether I replied to this. The baritone is too much like a guitar and can sound like a cheap one. The tenor, with re-entrant tuning, sounds completely different.,

  • That is so beautiful I could listen to it all night!

Is your e-book "12 hymn tunes for the ukulele" written in notes for the Baritone Uke?

Is it easy to find music for the baritone uke? Folk or celtic or hymns like this one?

  • No, my books are written for gCEA tuning. The tabs will sound fine on the baritone, but if you put other instruments in the key will be wrong. Try playing one of my free tabs and you will see. the baritone would need a high D 4th string though.

  • What a pretty tune! Brilliantly played, Ken! :-) X

  • Thanks for listening.

  • Very nice arrangement, Ken. I liked the slightly jazzier feel toward the end along with the bending of notes. Again, very nice!

  • Thank you, Sebi.
