  • Kevin, a beautiful rendition of one of my favorite pieces by Keith. How in the world did you transcribe this by just listening, amazing. I have several books of ELP sheet music but of course this one is not in there. You've really captured the feel and mood of this one, congrats.

  • Wow. Really thanks but even my version is not very close. I got bogged down and unsure in so many sections. A shadow of the great and my ears changed forever. To write this one out of my league.

  • Good Job,

My favorite keyboard players....Bach, Keith Emerson and Lyle Mays.

I'm just a guitar player, but I got taste hi hi hi

  • Good taste you have. I wish Keith was still writting. He has alot to give.

  • Thanks for the slower version....maybe....I can copy it by ear....

Is there a manuscript for this Emerson tune?

  • piano is tuned 1/2 step down - great job

  • good stuff K!

  • Hi Kevin, I have been enjoying this outstanding piano solo since 1976, and I'm now able to play the first 30 seconds (VERY exciting!) - and will conntinue to work on it until I've go it. As a teenager, I never thought I'd be able to do it, hoewver thanks to you and YouTube is is a possibility!

  • Hi Kevin thanks for the spectacular job, and for playing this in a way I might be able to learn it! Keep up the good work.

  • Nice comments. Kevin is a multi talented person. He is a natural musician and one of my best and dearest friends. So to those who asked how he did this...the answer is that's Kevin!! Now when are you going to learn that Genesis piece ?...oh never mind!

  • Excellent listening and playing skills. This always sounds complex - and it looks it too. KE was a tremendous inventor of musical phrases. You have done it more than justice.

  • Fantastic! If you didn't get it right in any places, (as you stated to another poster) it escaped my ear! Although I'm a drummer, I'm also a big ELP fan. And a new subscriber!

  • Man, I don't care what some music teaching snobs say. You played it extremely well. Very complex piece indeed. 5/5

  • Very talented indeed. My all time favorite is Jordan Rudess, but this man and Rick Wakeman are incredible as well.
