had this surgery in january after having it torn for 7 months. my shoulder kept dislocating during my football games. came out of surgery with no pain thanks to the wonderful nurses. in a sling for 2-3 weeks. showering was by far the most painful part lol. the most annoying thing was the rehab. talk about tedious!! but thanks to Dr. Ruess and Cora Rehab centers of orlando, fl my shoulder feels like new! good luck to anyone who gets this surgery.

I had mine done 8 weeks ago, If they offer you the nerve block for surgery TAKE IT!!! you'll be pain free for 12-16 hours after the surgery. After that your pain meds will come in handy.

Hopefully you have someone to help you, the day to day activity will be very hard for you like showering, getting dressed, etc.

I was in a sling for 4 weeks then started PT, I go 2x a week... I still have some discomfort but things are getting better. Good Luck!

it went pretty well, i ended up with 5 sutures needed. Its been around 4 weeks since the surgery and im no longer in a sling. i have about 70% of my motion back and im starting physio now. Feels so much better though. the pain when you wake up isnt even that bad, as well i had great nurses that were on top of pain medication
