  • @ADUBOIS11 i had that. i think numbing the arm is the way to go

  • @RunBikeHike That's awesome news dude. Congrats. I'm a climber and I've torn my Labrum and this sort of news makes me really trust my body to heal given I treeat it properly. All the best!

  • Does anybody know how long a torn hip labrum takes to fully recover about?

  • @LTDDog14 i did the same thing. "extensive tear of the superior and posterior portions of the labrum with a posterosuperior paralabral cyst." or thats what the paperwork said. the cyst is a fluid build up from the tear and its going to cause pain and discomfort. its swelling basically. the tear itself can get caught between the ball and socket part of your shoulder which causes that popping and catching sensation. if its bad enough, it will pop out entirely from what i understand. get it fixed..

  • I have to get 3-4 anchors for a pretty nasty tear from a Rugby injury... anyone know how long the discomfort is post surgery? When will I be able to use my arm normally again? How long the surgery is? Thanks.

  • I had labrum surgery almost 6 weeks ago. They put in three anchors then restitched the labrum back in place. Pain only lasted a day or two, then mild discomfort a few days after that. Have been exercising since day 1, walking, but am now adding a few pick-ups here and they, plus kicking drills in pool and physical therapy at home. Very glad I had it done. I am a competitive kayak racer, canoe racer, runner, biker, and triathlete and know it will be better than before once it's healed:-)

  • I have been disabled from my shoulder for 8 years now. I had one failed surgury. I changed doctors and he said I have a torn labrum and need surgury to fix it with screws in the bone. I am very scared he said they will also have to numb my whole should by injecting into my neck. I need to do it anyone have this surgury with the arm numb? How is it? How was it waking up ? Please help
