It's called 'rice starch glue' or 'rice starch paste' - I'm importing it from abroad, from American and British crafts' stores. I've also heard how to make it, and tried, but it's cheaper and SAFER to buy it simply...

it would be amazing to do one of those myself, but i´m just sure that one cant get the proper silk squares anywhere in europe.

i never thought that rice starch could keep all that together, but it´s genious! it´s cheap and it will automatically seal off the edges of the cut fabric, so it won´t get frizzly!

holy shit I want one of those! So pretty with the reds and whites, and the metal dangles, and the crane and everything :3 Probably very expensive, I wish I hade the skills to make something like that myself

@starfi5h It looks like the person in the video is using metal, but you can use cardboard as well - cover it in the fabric you are using for the flower to make it look nicer. Of course, the cardboard won't be as strong as metal, but it costs less too.

@LeefDamariel You must use rice starch and not rice flour. I tried flour and it will stick but starch is much better. I made some paste from starch 1:3 I believe and it works! I put some starch in a bowl and let it soak overnight. The next morning I stirred it and brought it to a boil while stirring. Just when it turns clear take it of the stove and let it cool.

On the long run it's cheaper!
