  • Hi

I study film editing and i love a lot special effects and i have few questions if thats ok. 3D compositing at 2:14 was basically all the psd files put it together and for the final details you added snow particles , fog etc ...am i even close to find a right answer ? i wanna advance to nukex from after effects and i need just a little advices like that ...

  • @WalkingXLegend Along the right tracks. Check out the basic tutorials on our website. Go to the home page and then Nuke and the Training Resources option on the right hand menu to get stuck into Nuke. For entry level try the Compositiors' Guide To Nuke further down the page. You can also download our PLE version and learn away. Good luck!

  • Can all this kind of stuff be done in Nuke PLE?

Or is it Nuke X that does this kind of stuff?

I'm a tad confused because I only just downloaded Nuke PLE and I can't seem to find an import button.

I'm still in High School and currently use After Effects for VFX (Hopefully I'll be getting CameraTracker for Christmas!) so I'm not really at a stage to have a proper go at Nuke.

  • @Genixel Hello. The NUKE PLE is NUKE not NUKEX so you don't get the extra features that it affords such as camera tracker, particles, FurnaceCore etc. There are lots of tutorials on our site to get you started. Look at NUKE then training resources on the right hand side. For importing use the READ NODE. Hope this helps and that your Christmas CameraTracker for AE wish comes true.

  • Can anyone tell me what exactly watermark means in the PLE version of nuke, please?

  • @alyx9999 Hello it means that your finished shots will have random markings on them. It prevents people from using the PLE version on commercial projects as it is just meant for learning.

  • @coleman265 Hello. Frank Rueter did some tutorials on this for us. You can find them on The Foundry website then click on Training resources on the right hand side / training videos. Then select PRODUCTION WORKFLOWS and you'll find some in there. Hope this helps.

  • Hello

A good place to start is The Compositor's guide to Nuke on The Foundry website in Nuke / Training & Tutorials. The tutorials on the YouTube channel are also great.

    Enjoy!

  • it's amazing. :D

  • @alyx9999 Search "Nuke PLE" on YouTube and it comes up with a few things done in PLE.

There's basically a lot of huge noise. I've never seen such a good watermark!

  • Gareth Edwards!

  • muito legal!!!!

  • @Alyx9999 it's themost difficult to remove watermark I've seen. Itsbasically a bunch of constantly moving randomly colored dots. There's a lot and they change constantly.

  • Can I see any examples of those random marking like what is the actual difference between the project made from PLE version and the project made from actual Nuke version, please? I need to use Nuke to do my project work in my senior year in order to make my resume............
